What we collect
When you send the quote form or the contact form, we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you typed in, plus any photos you attached. That is the whole list. There is no account to create and no tracking or advertising code anywhere on this site.
Your photos
Photos you upload are stored on our web host in a private folder that is not reachable from the internet — they cannot be found by guessing a URL, and they are not listed anywhere public. They are used to prepare your quote and to do the work.
We will never post your photos to Instagram or use them on this website without asking you first. If we would like to show a finished job, we ask, and you are free to say no.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and photos are kept while we are quoting or working on your job, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us about the same rug. If you would like your enquiry and photos deleted sooner, email hello@rezrugs.co.nz and we will remove them.
Who else sees it
Nobody. We do not sell, rent or share your details, and there is no mailing list to be added to. The only third parties involved at all are:
- Our web host, which stores the site and the uploaded files, as any host necessarily does.
- Instagram, but only if you choose to open one of the Instagram posts on our Work page. The grid itself is served from our own site; nothing is requested from Instagram until you tap a post, at which point Instagram will see that request as it would any visit to their site.
- Google reCAPTCHA, if spam protection is enabled on our forms. It checks that a submission is not automated and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. If you use the light/dark switch, that choice is saved in your own browser’s local storage on your device — it is never sent to us and we cannot read it.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@rezrugs.co.nz and we will sort it out — there is no form to fill in.
